Hellboy Animated : Gorilla Von

Gorilla Von Klempt aka Dr Herman Von Klempt. For those that may wonder, I originally had the swastika on his forehead the same way it is in the comic. But as I started to prepare the character shot for the web I decided to alter it. My choice, not someone else.

Until the Nazis used this symbol, the swastika was used by many cultures throughout the past 3,000 years to represent life, sun, power, strength, and good luck. It even even predates the ancient Egyptian symbol, the Ankh. It is a shame that it is now more commonly viewed as representing evil.

Off my soap box. Gorilla boy was pretty fun to do. I'm pretty happy with how he came out.
